Chariots of Fire

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus!

Chariots of Fire

Blessing story. See quotes from the movie below.

Eric Liddell: I want to compare faith with running a race. It's hard. It requires concentration of will, energy of soul.

You experience elation when the winner breaks the tape.
But how long does that last?

So who am I to say "believe" "have faith," in the face of life's realities? I would like to give you something more Permanent but I can only point a way. I have no formula for winning the race. Everyone runs in her own way, or his own way. Where does the power come from to see the race through its end? From within.

...Jesus said, "Behold, the Kingdom of God is within you. If with all your hearts you truly seek Me you shall ever surely find Me. If you commit yourself to the love of Christ then that is how you run the straight race.

Before Eric Liddell's race he was given a letter:
It says in the Old Book, "He that honors Me 'I will honor.'" Good luck, Jackson Scholz.

Hebrews 12
God Disciplines His Sons
1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.

Eric Liddell: So where does the power come from to see the race through to its end? From within.
